The Position:
As a E&I Planner you will plan maintenance activities, promote and maintain safety, follow established work practices whilst controlling environmental impacts and complying with legislative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities will include:
The E/I Planner is responsible for ensuring that the planning for maintenance work meets company objectives. Planning is to be carried out in accordance with the Workflow process.
The Workflow Process for maintenance work defines how maintenance work is carried out from the identification of a job to its final close-out. The steps carried out in between are: Identifying > Prioritising > Scoping > Planning > Authorising > Scheduling > Preparing > Execution > Close-Out.
This includes:
- Development of work procedures and Job packages
- Identify and validate work requests
- Procure critical spares
- Assist in reviewing Area Backlogs & Forward logs
- Arranging external contractors
- Procurement of external labour and materials (locate, receive quotes, evaluate, & purchase)
- Checking and confirming materials and plant items are available for work scoped.
- Carry out duties in accordance with all relevant legislation and Paper Australia’s safety, environmental and quality policies, safety principles, corporate values and strategies.
- Tracking the progress of shutdown planning, preparation, & execution for shutdowns.
- Recipient in Charge (RIC) duties where required
- Raising work requests
- Arranging for overhauls of removed equipment (i.e. Rotables)
- Develop library plans for standard jobs
- Managing their planning work list
The successful person will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Current Electrical Workers License including relevant trade qualification (‘A’ grade) or relevant qualifications.
- Demonstrated ability in project scoping and an ability to understand maps, survey plans and scale drawings. Change Management-ability; to think, communicate and influence change.
- Ability to change responses, techniques or approaches to situations or problems related to work operations to achieve a desired result.
- Ability to work in a highly technical situation utilising various computer programs and demonstrate commitment to maintain and update technical knowledge.
- Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
This position is based at our Maryvale Mill and will be paid in accordance with the Maryvale Mill Electrical/plumbing Maintenance Enterprise Agreement 2024
